Hailey Whitters has been working to get to where she is now - her first EP out, her first Top 20 country hit - for a long time. About as long as she was dating her now-husband. The pair eventually got hitched last year after a decade of dating. Cody Alan of CMT Hot 20 Countdown asked her: why the long dating process?
Hailey told him that, at one point in their dating life, her partner asked which she'd rather have: a ring or a record? And Hailey was determined, saying "I want a record - let's see if we can do that first." Now the talented newcomer has both - a new country music career on the fast track and a new husband.
