1 - 9 inch refridgerated ready pie crust

3/4 cup sugar

1/3 cup cornstarch

1 teaspoon salt

4 cups whole milk

4 large egg yolks, lightly beaten

3/4 cup peanut butter (crunchy is best)

3 Tablespoons butter (at room temp)

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Freshly whipped cream

chopped peanuts for garnish


PREHEAT OVEN TO 450 DEGREES...   In a large saucepan stir together....sugar, cornstarch and salt.....In a large bowl whisk in milk, egg yolks until blended. ....graually whisk in sugar mixture.    Heat the saucepan to medium for 6 to 7 minutes or until mixture thickens and boils....stirring constantly.  boil misture for one minute....stirring....remove from heat....stir in peanut butter, butter, vanilla and mix until all are well blended.   Pour mixture into pie shell.....place plastic srap over wet mixture pie....and chill in fridge for at least 4 hours...or until completely set. Serve with whipped cream and chopped peanuts for garnish.
