Chicago is the opening city of Garth’s upcoming tour, Garth has released the date and ticket information for the show.

His first tour in almost 20 years will kick off on Thursday, Sept. 4 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., 15 miles north of Chicago.
“As an entertainer, you get asked a lot, ‘What are the best cities to play?’” Brooks says in a press release. “Without hesitation, I rattle five or six of the best places to play and that list always includes Chicago. It is the perfect city to launch the world tour!”

Tickets will go on sale Friday, July 25 at 10AM CST. There will be a six ticket limit per purchase. Tickets will be available at www.ticketmaster.com, by calling 1-800-745-3000 or via Ticketmaster Express at 1-866-448-7849. There will be no sales at the venue box office or Ticketmaster outlets on July 25.

In keeping with Brooks’ stated intention to keep ticket prices low for the tour, tickets for Chicago will cost $56.94, plus $2.56 tax and a six dollar service charge, totaling $65.50.

Garth is expected to announce each city he is going to about 10 days before the show and might play up to 9 shows per city. This is a way to try and keep scalping prices down.
