In clear calm weather today a South Korean Ferry Boat has gone down with as many as 300 children aboard.  People aboard the ship reported a loud noise, and a shudder as the ship listed and when down.

South Korean officials are still in a search and rescue mode, and are not talking about the disasters cause.    Some say the ferry could have hit a rock or another ship.   Yet it was in heavily used shipping channels, and no other ship was seen in the vicinity.

On April 17, 2010 a North Korean submarine torpedoed a South Korean warship.  46 sailors were lost in that attack.
