A sophomore at Franklin Regional High School in suburban Pittsburgh went on a rampage with two knives shortly after school opened this morning. 19 students and a security guard were attacked. The victims ranged from age from teenagers to 60.
Doctors at medical centers rushed several victims into surgery, others were were treated for wounds. The older security guard was able to handcuff the attacker despite being stabbed in the stomach.
Doctors say everyone is expected to live, but there was no question first aid applied at the scene through direct pressure on the wounds saved lives.
