Storm Team Eight took notice of a developing threat from the European Weather Model earlier this week.   Bill Steffen got my attention when he wrote about the possibility of a foot of snow this coming Wednesday.

IF it happens, the storm would barrel out of Texas next week and climb up into Michigan.   Here is what the National Weather Service is saying in it's West Michigan forecast discussion this morning...

There is some suggestion from the European Model, (more so that others) that the combination  a southern stream and a northern stream Tuesday night into Wednesday morning could bring significant precipitation to at least the southern part of our forecast area.

The discussion goes on to say it’s possible the area of significant precipitation could push as far north as Traverse City by Wednesday morning.  The discussion ends by saying we will have to watch “this” as it could be a “significant precipitation event”.
