Kids in the 70's and 80's had "Schoolhouse Rock" - and many of us can still sing along to the animated lessons decades later. Music makes a mental connection with almost everyone.
Third grade teacher Faith McPeek recognized this and is going viral online for a counting-by-nines lesson...
"Last night, we learned to count by nine..." the song stars as the kids sing their way through all the multiples of nine, wrapping up with the teacher herself giving them a big "Woohoo" at the end.
The song, Morgan Wallen's smash hit "Last Night", was re-written in June by Sean Connolly, @teachwithmrc on Instagram.
His wife Lauren sent us this message,
"He wrote this song over the summer. His students met over the summer and they recorded it 30 times to get it right. This teacher used his song and he loves it."
Sean, or Mr. C, has tons of other songs he's re-written to help his students learn and we think that's pretty Awesome Sauce!
