Michigan Central Station is set to open Thursday in Detroit.
An Ottawa County company helped restore it.
The Ottawa County Millwork company does commercial and residential restoration.
Ford Automotive brought the team of 20 on in 2019 to help breathe life into the historic building.
Project Managaer, Ed Tolsma, said they were brought on for a few projects at first,
"Initially, we were asked to restore some very large windows, the windows that actually faced the Main Street coming up."
After that they were asked to tackle the clock, a main focal point of the building,
"So the clock is actually surrounded by a mahogany frame. Basically, it's a large frame, six foot by eight foot. It has some of the carvings and architectural elements from Andre."
Andre, a contract worker on the team, learned the craft in Romania.

The restoration project was a huge six-year project Ford Motor Company took on when they acquired the station in 2018.
The station origanially opened in 1913, but has been vacant since 1988.
After the kick-off concert with Big Sean, Diana Ross, and Jack White, guided tours will be held from June 7-16.
After June 16 the first floor will be open for Friday-Saturday tours this summer.
This fall, expanded hours will be announced, marking the first phase of commerical activations open to the public.
