Pig Caught By Police in GR

From our media partners at WOOD TV 8:

GR - A pet pig found itself in the back of a police cruiser after getting lost in Grand Rapids over the weekend.

The pig was found in the 2000 block of McKee Avenue SW, south of Burton Street, according to a Sunday Facebook post from the Grand Rapids Police Department.

GRPD said the animal had "eluded" neighbors, but officers were able to lure it to them using treats. The pig wasn't hurt.

GRPD posted photos of officers posing with the pig, including one with the pig in the back seat of a cruiser, its snout poking through the barred window.

Police said the pig was turned over to Kent County Animal Control until its owner could come get it.
