Kid Rock is stirring up some more controversy, this time in Nashville. It seems the performer has plans to add a 20-foot-tall neon sign to his Nashville bar, Kid Rock's Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N' Roll Steakhouse, which some folks aren’t too happy about.
While Kid got the approval necessary for construction and installation of the sign, many are unhappy because of its content. Basically it’s a huge guitar, which is shaped like a woman’s buttocks on the bottom.
While Mayor David Briley signed a law authorizing the sign, some on the Metro Council believe it’s tacky, and they are unhappy at how Lower Broadway is moving away from being famiy friendly.
“This one I feel crosses the line between good taste, family-friendliness, and I think what we would like Nashville to portray to people who come to visit us," Councilwoman Kathleen Murphy said. "If we allow this, what is going to come next? I think we can all use our imaginations there.
