Reba McEntire Splits From Boyfriend Skeeter Lasuzzo After Dating Two Years

Reba McEntire and her boyfriend, Anthony "Skeeter" Lasuzzo have officially called it quits.

The country star revealed the breakup to Us Weekly after being asked about spending the holidays together. "Skeeter and I broke up in May, so, unfortunately, we will not be spending that time together," McEntires says. "We still talk and we're friends, but just decided to go our separate ways."

McEntire and Lasuzzo first met in 2017 while vacationing in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They were first introduced by Brooks & Dunn singer Kix Brooks.

“Kix and Barbara Brooks thought it’d be a good idea, since we were gonna be up around Yellowstone, to get Kix’s best friend’s wife’s brother to show us around. He’s a photographer in Jackson Hole,” she told Taste of Country in 2018. “I made another trip to Jackson Hole, because I just love it up there, and he asked me out for a date — just the two of us. And we’ve been dating ever since.”

McEntire's relationships with Lasuzzo came after separating from her ex-husband Narvel Blackstock in August 2015. The two split after 26 years of marriage.

“Well, the divorce was not my idea,” she shared with CMT in 2016. “I didn’t want it in any shape, form or fashion. So it was really hard to make the adjustment when someone’s not happy.”

McEntire added, “I just want everyone to be happy in their lives because our lives are too short to be miserable. I just thought it was the best thing to take my marbles and go play somewhere else, is what Daddy used to always say.”

McEntire's schedule will keep her busy with next few months. The country icon will join Dolly Parton and Carrie Underwood to co-host the 2019 CMA Awards. She's also expected to hit the stage herself for a performance along with a handful of other big country stars. The show will air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 13 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
