2020 ACM Awards Nab Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan & More For All-Star Number

Wednesday night’s (September 16) 2020 ACM Awards wasted no time by opening the ceremony with an all-star medley performance featuring all five Entertainer of the Year nominees, including Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett.

During the seven-minute performance, the quartet of acts churned out some of their biggest hits and the blockbuster number was not one to miss. First up, Bryan appeared on-stage at the Grand Ole Opry House, alongside his six-piece band, before an empty audience to perform "Rain Is a Good Thing." Church showed up next on the B stage in the middle of the venue with his guitar in-tow to put on a one-man show of "Drink In My Hand." Afterward, viewers were in for a surprise as cameras zoomed out of the location, courtesy of Google Earth, and to the Bluebird Cafe, where Combs appeared solo to sing "When It Rains It Pours." From there, Rhett offered up a brief portion of "It Goes Like This," but it was Underwood who appeared as the real showstopper back at the Grand Ole Opry House in a shimmery gold dress to deliver "Before He Cheats."

Speaking of superstar power, Keith Urban appeared immediately after the number from the Grand Ole Opry House to serve as a first-time host for the ceremony. Among the other stars set to perform from iconic Nashville spots include Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton featuring Gwen Stefani, Kane Brown, Tim McGraw, Kelsea Ballerini, Florida Georgia Line, and more.
