Sam Hunt and Ingrid Andress teamed up to perform their smoldering duet on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Andress took the stage in a shimmering jumpsuit, kicking off the story of a backsliding couple. Hunt joins in on guitar on the second verse, as the duo sings:

“When I'm a couple in, I get optimistic/ Like you and me are realistic
“Maybe I'm just wishful drinkin’/ Give my heart somethin' to sink in/ Better make it two, nothin' I won't do/ For another round of me and you/ I get hopeful when I'm tipsy/ Thinkin' you might actually miss me/ It's a hundred proof, nothin' I won't do/ For another round of me and you/ I’m wishful drinkin’”

Hunt and Andress released the song together in 2021. Watch their performance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert here:

Andress was one of the latest iHeartCountry On The Verge artists in 2019, around the time she released her debut single, “More Hearts Than Mine.” At that time, Andress was already co-writing with huge names in the music industry, including Hunt and Alicia Keys, among others. Hunt has released a steady stream of hit songs over the years, including “House Party,” “Breakup in a Small Town,” “Breaking Up Was Easy IN The ’90s,” and other fan-favorites (many of which he performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in September).
