If anyone out there is looking for the perfect example of women supporting other women, this recent exchange between Carly Pearce and Trisha Yearwood is for you.

Pearce gushed over Yearwood in a recent interview with CMT, revealing that the “She’s In Love With The Boy” icon is who she’d consider to be her “career crush.” Pearce explained why she looks up to Yearwood, capping it all off with a well-earned mic drop:

“Hey y’all! It’s Carly Pearce, and in honor of Women’s History Month, we are talking ‘career crushes’ on women in country music. My career crush is Trisha Yearwood. She’s classy, she’s classic, she loves animals, she loves to cook, she’s an amazing singer, she’s married to Garth (Brooks), and she inducted me into the Grand Ole Opry.”

Yearwood saw the video and responded: “I love you [Carly Pearce] !!!!” Pearce tweeted back on Wednesday morning (March 2): “I love YOU!” See the tweets here:

Pearce officially became a member of the Grand Ole Opry on August 2021. Yearwood inducted her into the Opry and performed a duet of “How Do I Live” with her, saying at the time: “This is a very special place, and when you are invited it’s an invitation to the family. So, with much pride and joy, Carly you are now an official member of the Grand Ole Opry.”

Pearce got to relive her Opry induction again at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville on Tuesday evening (March 1). The milestone is included in the annual American Currents: State of the Music exhibit, which features notable music and artist achievements from the previous year. It opens to the public on Friday (March 4), and runs through February 5, 2023. “I got to preview my new part in the Country Music Hall of Fame for the #americancurrents exhibit last night. It’s so special to see my dress that I wore at my @opry induction & the Barbie that my mom had made as a replica of that,” Pearce gushed on Instagram. “These are the moments that truly blow my mind. Thank you for such a big honor. 🥲♥️”
