Keith Urban is known for dozens of hit singles throughout his decades-long career.

Urban began releasing music in the 90s and has reached audiences around the globe. The Australian singer-songwriter and musician, 56, is gearing up for a fresh chapter in his career with his new album, HIGH. Urban previously said his forthcoming record is “the result of a prior record I started in 2022. It’s 40 minutes top to bottom, and is completely expressive, true, honest and is so much more of what I actually wanted to say when making that scrapped record. I hope these songs bring you joy, levity, some new understanding, energy, and escape!”

Earlier this year, Urban kicked off his next era when he released “Straight Line,” a vibrant anthem about breaking free from “a soul-sucking routine.”

“‘Straight Line’ is the perfect first track off my album because it’s a song born of wanting to break out of routine and feeling like somewhere along the line, life lost some color and excitement – ‘You and me used to be like a year-round summer…’ This song is about getting it back again – a message of taking back your life and driving out from under the dark cloud. If you’ve seen us in concert, I hope this track gives you that same liberated feeling,” Urban previously said in a statement shared by his record label, teasing his forthcoming album. “While ‘Straight Line’s’ lyrics are about being stuck and trying to break out of the monotony, the melody and energy are a boulevard of nothing but green lights. Every song on this album – even the ballads – carries an energy and a life force that became a very strong through line. I hope you feel it. I’m so excited for everyone to hear the whole thing.”

Urban followed “Straight Line” with “Messed Up As Me,” telling the story about a relationship that he describes as “pretty dysfunctional, pretty messy, except for one part of it and that one part of it is amazing. In fact, that one part is so good that you figure out just putting up with all the rest that is dysfunctional, possibly toxic and just messy. Between the two of you, that one thing is well worth it.” Urban delivered the debut live performance of the song at the 2024 Country Radio Seminar (CRS) on the historic Ryman Auditorium stage in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

Next, he’s teamed up with Bell Bottom Country star Lainey Wilson on “Go Home W U.” Urban’s forthcoming chapter follows decades of heartfelt ballads and electrifying anthems that Urban’s longtime fans know and love. He released “WILDSIDE” on the same day he revealed long-awaited album details. iHeartRadio listeners have steamed Urban’s music from the beginning to now.
