Zac Brown said he “got her good,” while talking about the moment he surprised his fiancée with an engagement ring.
The Zac Brown Band frontman, 46, said “I feel great,” when he and his bandmates performed on the TODAY plaza on Friday morning (July 25). “I got her good.” Brown proposed to jewelry designer Kendra Scott, 51, and the couple confirmed their engagement with PEOPLE late Thursday night (July 24).
“I know, right? What are you gonna get somebody that designs jewelry?” Brown said when asked about the “pressure” to propose to Scott. ”It’s incredible. Incredible. (I’m) so happy. We’re so happy we found each other, and we’re blessed.”
Brown and Scott made their red carpet debut as a couple about two months before their engagement. They appeared together on May 26 the 2025 American Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada. Zac Brown Band will return to Vegas for their limited run of Sphere shows, kicking off on the same day the Grammy-winning group delivers a new studio album, Love & Fear.
