Carrie Underwood recently took the stage to lead worship at a local church in Franklin, Tennessee, outside of Nashville. The Grammy-winning country singer performed “Pour Your Spirit Out.”
Thrive Worship wrote the uplifting anthem and shared a clip of Underwood’s rendition on Instagram. The musical group wrote in the caption: “Is this real life?? We are so thankful to see how God is using this song in His church. What an honor ❤️.” Instagram users applauded Underwood’s “incredible” performance of the “powerful song” in the comments. “Pour Your Spirit Out” is the most recent time Underwood has led worship at Rolling Hills Community Church in Franklin. Last year, the “Jesus, Take the Wheel” artist performed Bethel Music’s “Goodness of God.”
Underwood released her own album of gospel music, which was her eighth full-length studio album, in 2021. My Savior included “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” featuring CeCe Winans, “How Great Thou Art,”“Amazing Grace” and more. Underwood won a Grammy for the album in 2022, and emotionally said at that time that “this is one of the most important bodies of work I’ve ever been a part of, been able to do. This is one thing that I’ve wanted to do literally my whole career. I’ve wanted to make this album, and I got to, and this just means the world to me.”
