Thomas Rhett shared a glimpse of sweet moments with his wife, Lauren Akins, who is pregnant with the couple’s fifth child, in a visual for a newly-debuted ballad on Friday (September 26).
Rhett wrote “On A River” with Casey Brown and Parker Welling. It appears on Rhett’s 25-track deluxe edition of About A Woman. He released his full extended seventh studio record on Friday, after dropping a few tracks at a time over the summer. Rhett released the original About A Woman album last year, sharing at the time that the project paid tribute to “one woman, my wife, and it gave me an opportunity to say ‘I love you’ in a lot of different ways.”
Rhett met his wife in elementary school. The couple dated briefly in high school, remained friends after splitting up, and rekindled their romance years later. They quickly got engaged after that, got married in October 2021, and have since begun raising a family together. Rhett and Akins announced last month that Akins is pregnant with Baby No. 5. The baby will join big sisters Willa Gray (9), Ada James (7), Lennon Love (5) and Lillie Carolina (3).
