Last November, fashion-maven Dikivia “Kiki” Steed was diagnosed with breast cancer.
After it was learned that she was terminal, Steed took the brave step of making her elaborate funeral plans.
An avid fan of Barbie, she carried that theme into her final send-off that required all 100 guests in attendance to say their final goodbyes to wear either black…or pink.
Steed also ordered a glass coffin that had large displays that looked like Barbie boxes with her posed on them on each side of the coffin.
The goal of the glass coffin was to “make it seem like she’s in a Barbie box.”
Reportedly, the funeral director got a lot of grief for it all being excessive, but family members say it was all done “with grace, elegance, and glass.”
