A Chick-fil-A location in Kettering, Ohio, has sparked outrage with its new teen chaperone policy that requires diners 17 or younger to be accompanied by an adult over 21 when visiting the restaurant.
The policy was announced on social media as schools start back up.
They say it’s to create a safe and respectful environment for all guests, but it's facing serious backlash from parents and community members who feel it unfairly punishes well-behaved teens.
Critics are upset that even responsible 18 and 19-year-olds won't be able to bring their younger siblings to eat, with some calling for boycotts and demanding apologies from the franchise.
What no one is really talking about though is that this Chick-fil-A is located in a shopping mall that’s had its own similar chaperone policy since 2022, suggesting there might be some issues with unruly teens in the area.
