Two men expecting fun at an amusement park were left hanging…literally.
The men are okay after getting stuck on a roller coaster at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Matthew Cantu and Nicholas Sanchez were suspended about 130 feet above the ground at a 90-degree angle when the Circuit Breaker ride stopped just before 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
After over a half hour, family members of the men called 911 and then first responders and park crews began to fix the situation.
Mechanics were able to get the coaster going again, and Cantu and Sanchez were finally able to leave the ride after being stuck for about an hour.
COTA officials blamed a faulty sensor for causing the ride delay.
The park hasn’t reached out to the men, who are criticizing the response.
