Lainey Wilson opened up about her mental health journey in a new interview with “People,” revealing she once had three therapists. One therapist helps her communicate professionally, with Wilson sharing they, “[help] me get a point across with a little bow wrapped on top, because if I really let my Louisiana crazy side come out, I’d be saying things a little sideways.”

After years of grinding in Nashville, her rising fame led to anxiety and a breaking point during a grueling radio tour, where she says she felt burned out and wanted “to curl up in a little ball and shut the world out completely.” It was then that she had a days-long panic attack. She credits advice from Reba McEntire, who told her “When I feel like I can’t do it anymore, I do it for somebody else,” as a turning point in her mindset.

The country artist hopes that opening up will help others with their struggles. "Speak up when you're not feeling great, because there most likely will be people around you who can help you through it or get you the help you need. If you're not telling the people around you how you're feeling, then nobody's going to know.”
