If you’ve got yourself a lifted pickup truck, consider yourself warned…gas thieves are targeting your ride.
Mechanics are reporting an increase in trucks that’ve had their gas tanks drilled into.
That leaves the truck owner with a repair bill that’s far greater than the dollar amount of the fuel that’s been swiped.
Jamie Phelps lives in Minnesota, and says gas heisters hit his truck last week…and he was one of three people hit in his neighborhood on the same night.
Technician Collin Finley says he’s personally seen ten vehicles that’ve been hit this year, and repairs can cost upwards of $1,500… not including labor.
