A squirrel got a little too clingy with park visitors in Watertown, New York.

Viral video shows the critter chasing people in Thompson Park, with one man jumping on a picnic table and the squirrel joining him.

Wildlife rehabilitator Chantel Horbacz, eventually caught the juvenile squirrel and explained why he was so into humans.

She noted he was acting strange because he was probably fed early on in life and got accustomed to the people that fed him.

Horbacz also stressed that “Rabbits don’t get rabies, chipmunks, squirrels.

The reason why is that a rabid animal would kill them.

So the chance of them contracting it and then staying alive and being able to pass it is very rare.”
