As gas prices continue to be unreasonably high, people are altering their behavior to save money. Some are carpooling, while others are taking public transportation.
Mali Hightower is driving a toy car he rescued from the trash.
The 30-year-old handyman took a busted-up pink Power Wheels Barbie Dream Camper and modified it with a “two-gallon, one-piston engine from a power washer.”
With the pull of a ripcord, Hightower takes the toy car to the local supermarket, dirtbike helmet on his head and knees to his ears.
