5 Spectacular Houses For Sale in West MI

Moving boxes in modern living room in a new home.

One thing you should know about me - it's Aly Mac by the way - is that I am always scouring Zillow.

This post is NOT sponsored by the way...but it could be if Zillow got in touch. Just saying.

I'm a relatively recent first-time homeowner - I bought my cute little house in 2017 - and I've been fixing it up bit by bit ever since. (I've included a few pics below!)

Below: This mirror sits above my fireplace in the main sitting room of my house.

Below: A more zoomed-out view of the main sitting room.

Below: Also another view of the main sitting room...can you tell it's my latest project?

I love my house! Owning a home is a bit of a different story: that has been an adjustment. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it though.

None of that stops me from scrolling Zillow on a weekly basis. I have no intention of moving, whatsoever, at the moment. I just like to look at pretty things.

And boy are there some pretty things to look at in West Michigan right now! Most come with a gigantic price tag. One that I would never be able to afford, but there's something in me that has to look anyway.

So I bring you...

5 West MI homes I would "walk-through" if I were looking for a house (and had $$$$$) right now!

One more thing! Click the address of the house to see the gorgeous pictures. For some reason Zillow won't let me embed the photos right into this article.

First up: 530 Wellesley Dr, Muskegon, MI 49441

3BD, 1BA, 1,824 sq ft

$249,000

This house is so freaking cute! Inside and out! This is right up my alley...no pun intended..style, layout, even price range, everything about this house appeals to me in some way. This house is probably the most tempting to me...it's charming, bursting with character, covered car-port, updated without feeling fussy, SO MUCH NATURAL LIGHT! What's not to love?

**Prices take a steep turn upwards after this**

Next up: 27 Crescent HI, Grand Haven, MI 49417

6BD, 4BA, 2,900 sq ft

$499,900

Ah Grand Haven. I know not everyone in West MI wants to live in GH, but they're probably lying. This modern stunner has views of Lake MI and beach access. Can you imagine sunsets here?! The interior is pretty eclectic and if were gonna get picky its not super updated. If I had the cash I might renovate...definitely a new paint scheme - that's for sure. I am a sucker for stained glass windows and original bead board/shiplap. It's A LOT of wood inside, but I'm kind of into that. We are at the beach after all!

**We had a good time at the beach, but let's head downtown GR shall we?

Next up: 14 Trowbridge St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503

3 BD, 3BA, 2,718 sq ft

$1,025,000

Told you prices took a turn.

Belknap lookout is a really underrated (and underdeveloped) part of GR. The views of the city are amazing, you feel like your smack dab in the middle of the city, but it's SO QUIET! I'm also a sucker for this super modern vibe happening here. Say what you will about new construction - this house is drop dead gorgeous. The finishes, the color scheme, the layout...who could say no? Catch me on that balcony with my coffee every morning with Fran...I can picture it!

**If that's not quite downtown enough for you...

Next up: 51 Monroe Center St. NW APT 201, Grand Rapids, MI 49503

3BD, 3BA, 3,040 sq ft

$1,450,000

Okay full disclosure: I can see this balcony from the iHeart studios. In fact, we often gawk and wonder about the individuals who occupy these truly magnificent apartments. Some of them have dogs...we should be friends I think.

A picture is worth a thousand words, these are literally worth a million...and then some. Dreamy. Just dreamy. Marble countertops, royal fireplace, free standing tub in the master bath, THE TERRACE! Office space w/ another fireplace, full laundry room, storage everywhere, a master closet up until now I've only seen on HGTV...this place is worth every penny. Pennies I don't have, but I get it.

**If nature is more your thing, let's head back to the lake...

Finally: 10032 W Gull Lake Dr. Richland, MI 49083

3BD, 3BA, 2,367 sq ft

$2,495,000

Water views for days. Gull Lake is premiere and this beaut is nestled on top of one of the highest bluffs overlooking the water. It's sprawling, yet private with 400ft of lakefront property. It's beachy and cute, without being super trendy. The stone wall in the main living area is doing a lot of work and I appreciate a good focal point. Again, were at the beach so there is a lot of wood...on the floors, on the walls, I don't think I saw any on the ceilings though. Could you make updates? For sure. Do you need to? Absolutely not. At $2.5M though I think you could probably afford to...maybe. Who knows these days.

And there you have it. Five homes I'll be dreaming about tonight. Did you like this article? Let me know...I'm always trying to give the people more of what they like!
