Chris Stapleton is known for his gruff, powerful, soulful voice - but that voice is going to have to be silenced for a little while as the singer rests and recuperates from a battle with bronchitis and laryngitis.
Stapleton broke the bad news on his socials. "To all my friends in Corpus Christi, Houston, and Lafayette, I am very sorry to let you all know that I am unable to perform this weekend’s shows. I have bronchitis and laryngitis, and on doctor’s orders, am on vocal rest through the weekend in order to heal. I’m grateful for your patience and understanding, and hope to see you all in November."
This weekend’s shows in Texas and Louisiana will be rescheduled to later dates, and all tickets for the original shows will be honored for the postponed shows. Refunds will also be available for those that can’t make the rescheduled November shows.
