We’ve all thought about it, but country singer Jelly Roll is actually doing it. The breakthrough star has wrapped up his first-ever headlining arena tour by giving up something most of us have a hard time living without-his phone.
“I’m going to get rid of my phone again and go phoneless for the rest of the year,” posted the singer, saying he wanted instead “to focus on family and try to be as present as possible.” The decision came as Jelly Roll seemed to be ending his year exhausted but thankful.
“I am home fighting a cold,” he admitted. “The road ran me down pretty bad this time.” JR admitted he “got emotional every night” of his “Backroad Baptism Tour,” during which he raised $590,000 for at-risk-youth organizations and visited rehab centers, jails, homeless shelters and juvenile facilities.
But don’t worry, fans. Jelly Roll still plans on occasionally posting from “the iPad or my wife’s phone.”
