While a lot of folks love macaroni and cheese, and even more love ice cream, would people love the two tasty eats together? Well, we are about to find out.
In honor of today being National Macaroni and Cheese Day, Kraft has teamed with Brooklyn’s Van Leeuwen Ice Cream to create a macaroni-and-cheese flavored ice cream. Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Sr. Associate Brand Manager Emily Violett says the treat features “the unforgettable flavor of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese we all grew up with,” and like most Van Leeuwen flavors, it’s made with just a few ingredients and no artificial flavors, preservatives or dyes.
But if you want to taste you’re gonna have to act fast. Van Leeuwen will be selling the limited-edition flavor starting today on its website and in their stores, with pints selling for $12. New Yorkers have a chance to sample it for free at Van Leeuwen’s ice cream truck, which will be parked in Union Square today from 11 am to 6 pm.
