Kelsea Ballerini isn’t just a fan of Chappell Roan—she’s campaigning for her.
The country star has made it clear that she’s obsessed with Roan’s country-pop crossover track “The Giver,” and she’s doing everything in her power to make sure it gets the love it deserves. In an interview with People, Ballerini gushed over Roan’s artistry, saying, “I love that music is in a space where we are hopefully encouraging artists to make music that inspires them. And if she wants to make a pop song, it inspires a million people. If she wants to make a country song, it inspires a million people.”
But she’s not just cheering from the sidelines—she’s actively pushing for “The Giver” to get airtime on country radio. She’s calling stations herself to request it (as in, Kelsea Ballerini is literally out here making fan requests like the rest of us). And she’s ready to take it even further.
Her dream? To introduce Roan’s performance of the song at a country awards show. “Actually, when that song came out, I texted my manager and I was like, ‘If she plays a country award show, can I please intro this performance?’”
Manifesting power: activated.
Between Roan’s undeniable talent and Ballerini’s industry muscle, “The Giver” might just be on its way to becoming the country crossover hit we didn’t know we needed. 🎶🔥
